Cities can be magic places. Each metropolis has its own soul, its own heartbeat and energy. No matter if you run a city for the first time or memorized every alley and corner during hundreds of runs, urban running is a discovery journey each and ever time.
The photo for "Streets Of Hamburg" has been shot by Björn Lexius in the infamous Schanzenviertel in Hamburg, Germany. It's a multicultural place full of contrast, artistic beauty, social tension, shady red light districts, clubs and eatery and people from all over the world. To make it short: This part of Hamburg just never sleeps.
Especially the "Rote Flora" (the building in the background) has been an icon of subcultural life and political struggle for decades.
Björn Lexius took pictures of Jana and Marie and by that created a contemporary document of this wonderful city.
